1. Free Monthly Program Meetings: With wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and speakers on hot or historic topics.

2. Public Safety Program: 80 well-informed block captains keep neighbors immediately alerted to crime; CAG pays private security guards to patrol our neighborhood in marked cars and give assistance.

3. Trees: CAG coordinates the planting, pruning and replacement of our beautiful trees in residential blocks.

4. Historic Preservation: CAG bring years of experience and technical skills to bear on the intricacies of historic preservation regulations, enforcement and regulatory agencies.

5. Concerts in the Parks: Three times each summer, hundreds of neighbors gather for picnics with live music, free ice cream, cupcakes and children’s activities.

7. Monthly Newsletter: Monthly newsletter full of events info, fun gossip and important articles.

8. Oral History Project: Trained volunteers gather the “living history” of Georgetown via interviews of residents.

9. Town/Gown Activities: CAG works constantly with Georgetown University, the Police Department and other community groups on student-related issues.

10. Trash & Rodents: CAG works with neighbors, the Department of Public Works, and the Department of Health to keep our neighborhood clean.

Citizens Association of Georgetown is a non-profit civic organization representing the interests of Georgetown residents. CAG’s members, programs, and advocacy make Georgetown safer, more beautiful, and more connected.
